Mount Charleston Wedding: David & Yesenia

Wedding Photography Las Vegas
Mount Charleston Wedding

No matter how big or small a wedding is, it’s always an honor to be able to capture a couple committing themselves to one another forever. While I very much enjoy the hustle and bustle of an eight to ten hour wedding day, it’s always nice to shoot an elopement. The overall vibe is a little more laid-back, and I just love the balance it brings to my schedule.

We were happy to have the opportunity to document an out-of-town couple’s nuptials at the Retreat at Mount Charleston Peak this past December. Yesenia and David selected the venue due to its close proximity to the Las Vegas Valley (only 45 minutes away), and the stunning mountain landscape.

The day started with some portraits of the bride and groom together, as well as a few solo shots. Then, we headed to the quick ceremony out on the patio of the hotel. (I can never get over the gorgeous view.) Afterwards, we spent about ten minutes getting some shots of the couple with their beloved family members. Everyone was really awesome to work with and braved the frigid 30-degree air like champs!

Real Estate Photography: 8729 Agate Avenue

Real Estate Photography
Las Vegas is a hot market for real estate right now! So many people are buying and selling, and the need for photography to go along with it is more in demand than ever. And, that works out pretty well for a photographer who enjoys shooting inanimate objects every now and then. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I very much enjoy photographing human subjects… but, sometimes, it’s nice to mix it up a bit. Ya know what I mean?

So, when my good friend, Joseph Sacco, who also happens to be one of the very best realtors in Las Vegas, contacted me about photographing one of his listings, of course I said, “Yes!” Joseph isn’t just any realtor, but one who really provides individualized service, and goes above and beyond for each and every one of his clients. His approach to serving his real estate clients is very much the way I aspire to serve my photography clients – custom, personal, and with integrity. And, being a long-time Las Vegas resident and very much involved in our community, Joseph understands the culture of Las Vegas living, which makes him a great asset to those wanting a home that accommodates their lifestyle.

Interior and Exterior Photography: Resolution Realty

Visual storytelling is an essential component of a stellar marketing plan. Successful businesses and brands understand that photographs help tell clients and prospects who that company or brand is, in seconds. Visual storytelling can consist of different types of photos, from candid, behind-the-scenes captures of employees and management hard at work or interacting with clients, to composite shots of products, brand lifestyle images, simple photographs of the place where associates do business (interior and exterior photography), and so much more. The right mix of visual portfolio is as unique as the brand it represents.

Real estate companies ahead of their game understand the importance of photographs that sell. Obviously, every realtor is going to have photos of the homes they’re selling. However, the good ones know that their clients, prospective clients, agents and prospective agents want to see the whole package. The place from which they operate is a vital aspect of the experience for anyone who does business with them. Therefore, interior and exterior photography of their headquarters is a must. Lightroom Presets Review: Strike A Pose by SleekLens

Well, hello there. Yes, yes, it’s been a while. It’s been a while since I last blogged (please don’t judge me; I promise I’ll do better). And, it’s been a while since I experimented with a new editing tool. If you have missed me, well, awww, I’ve missed you, too. I’m also excited to share with you, in blog form (woo-hoo!) a new product that I’ve been experimenting with over the past couple months. It’s SleekLens Strike A Pose Portrait Workflow. The company, SleekLens, offered me their product at no cost in exchange for an honest review. We’ll get to that review in just a moment, but first I’d like to explain my usual editing process… Continue reading

The Four Seasons of Self-Development

With the exception of the many “Back to School Sale” ads on every corner, yellow bus sightings, flashing lights of school zones, and a few breezy, 90-something-degree days, there’s not much that indicates September has arrived in Las Vegas.

But here it is – September 1st to be exact – and I find myself a little shocked that summer is almost over. But, I say that every year, so what else is new?

This summer has been jam-packed with growth, both professionally and personally… and might I add that this includes the “adulting” department as well?

For me, each season of the year has its own theme, and I’m not referring to merely holiday or weather-related things, like beach balls or pumpkin lattes, although of course that is part of it. What I’m talking about, however, is an overall way of living and being for each particular season. Continue reading
